Purpose and Position

Ladies Ministry - The Phoebes

The purpose of the Phoebes shall be:

1. To worship God and to glorify Him on earth. Romans 15: 6-9 - so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God. For I say that Christ has become a servant to the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God to confirm the promises given to the fathers. And for the Gentiles to glorify God for His mercy; as it is written, "Therefore I will give praise to you among the Gentiles, And I will sing to your name."

2. To provide a ready response as personal need arise in our church family. Titus 3:14 - Our people must also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful.

3. Purpose to be a channel of communication to the rest of our church family when special personal needs arise. ( act as a "call to prayer") 1 Corinthians 12:14 - For the body is not one member, but many.

A woman's group consisting of those who are sisters in the Lord; who are servants of our church and serve as helpers of many within our church family. As Phoebes, we are readily available to assist those in need in times of suffering; and join with them in times of joy; and act as a media in getting out pertinent information to all the church family.
